I never imagined I would be in this situation. My family is in desperate finacial need. Unforunately the need is mostly due to my ill health. I have been unable to work for eight years because of a chronic illness. Now, my husband who is going on 60 was just layed off. This would not be so bad usually; however, a few years ago we used his retirement to buy a business which failed. So we have used our savings. We are not bad people. WE have always given to charities, we both have degrees, thought we were doing the right things, volunteered for organizations. Now, when we need help they tell us that there is none. Why??? We have never needed help before. Please if it can happen to us it can happen to anyone. We also currently own a few pets I adoped from shelters that were in need after I fostered them.
